HoD’s message

“Our mission goes beyond traditional learning; we aim to instil social responsibility, community engagement, and a commitment to lifelong learning.”

Welcome to the Department of English, Indian, and Foreign Languages. We are dedicated to excellence in research, innovative teaching, and holistic character development. Aligned with NEP 2020, our curriculum enhances communicative, rhetorical, and cultural skills so students can engage thoughtfully with contemporary issues.

The department is recognised nationally and internationally for its intellectual atmosphere. Cambridge English exams — PET, BEC, and Linguaskill — assess reading, writing, listening, and speaking for academic and professional settings. Symposia, colloquia, and conferences bring scholars together and keep the campus in conversation with the world.

We invite you to be part of this community, where academic and personal growth is deeply valued.
