Study
Two pathways: a taught master’s with Cambridge certification and labs, and a scholarship-supported Ph.D. in language, literature, and cultural studies.
Postgraduate
Two-year programme covering modern English language, literary survey, genre study, ELT, literary theory, journalism writing, testing and evaluation, and a dissertation. Skill-based labs include academic writing and Cambridge B1/B2 certification.
Doctoral
Full-time and part-time research with TRA and ERA assistantships. Scholars work across ELT, linguistics, Indian writing, translation, gender studies, digital humanities, and Indian Knowledge Systems. Currently 49 scholars, with 5 doctorates awarded.

Admission typically requires a bachelor’s degree in English or a related field. Complete the online application. An entrance exam or interview may be required depending on the department’s criteria. Deadlines are published with the university admissions office.

Yes. Graduates can pursue Ph.D. programmes. The department supports academic research, and some scholars receive Teaching or Research Assistantships.
